The innagrual Mrs Brown's Ball - presented by The Sparkly Umbrella.
The Sparkly Umbrella is a group of close friends, brought together by the loss of one of the members’ mother to cancer. We all want to make a difference, no matter how small or big, and together we can all achieve this.
Mrs Brown was a very special women.
"My Mummy, Mrs Jean Brown, was born in Belfast during the 2nd World War. A quick witted women who was funnier than she ever realised and who brought so much fun and laughter to everyone who had the privledge of meeting her. Her zest for life was an inspiration and her ability to never take life too seriously was a special gift. My Mummy sadly passed away on St Patrick’s Day this year after a short illness with cancer and true to her form she made sure that she passed on a day that is celebrated worldwide! My intention is to continute to celebrate the life of Mrs Brown, for all she was and all she stood for." Tracey Maquire.
This is why The Sparkly Umbrella was formed. Our aim is to help raise funds to allow critical research to continue so medical professionals can offer new and improved treatments to future patients. All proceeds raised will go straight to Cancer Council WA where it will be used to fund further research in the hope of finding a cure.
